CABERNET ICEWINE 2012 VQA Short Hills Bench, Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer HENRY OF PELHAM
Bright light reddish pink colour. Sweet, elegant, ripe plum-strawberry puree nose with some vanilla notes. Sweet (220 g/L residual sugar), medium-light bodied, fairly viscous, bright, fresh plum-strawberry flavours with a lingering, crisp finish with some hints of ruby grapefruit. Ready-to-drink. This repeat seems to have evolved somewhat since last tasted for the August 31, 2013 release. CSPC 672402

TASTING NOTE: A pretty and interesting nose that offers up strawberry-rhubarb jam, cherry preserves, marmalade and a wealth of floral notes that will put you right in the midst of a spring flower garden. This is sweet, but not cloying as the fruit flavours and the rush of fresh acidity add a tangy brilliance. Very characterful with an awesome, lingering finish. Well done.
