Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

BARON-FUENTÉ |
Medium yellow colour. Very complex, mature, toasty, spicy, baked lemon nose with lots of brioche notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, somewhat honeyed, ripe lemon flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, toasty finish. This new blend of of 45% Chardonnay, 40% Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir is quite similar to the recommended 1998 (***) released on March 31, 2012 at $51.95. |

Awarded a Gold Medal at the 2013 World Wine Championships. TASTING NOTE: Pale golden color. Aromas of lemon curd on brioche with a round, very tangy medium-full body and a long, seamless finish with notes of praline, honeyed apple and lime, and earth. A charming, spot-on Champagne with great acidity and style. Score - 93 (tastings.com, March 18, 2013) |
