Tasting note: This glistening, buckwheat honey coloured brandy seduces with a voluptuous nose of fruit, orange peel, sherry and butterscotch toffee. Quite bracing on the palate, it exhibits notes of sherry, fruit and spice right into a lengthy finish. This is no ordinary brandy. Gonzalez-Byass produces this Gran Reserva using the solera system of blending, to maintain consistency. Score – 95. (Patricia Noonan, Wine Access, First in Line E-Report, April 2002) Price $ 79.95
