Stratus' winemaker J-L Groux is a master of assemblage: that is, the art of the blend. His innovative application of blending to Icewine has opened even further possibilities for Ontario's signature style. TASTING NOTE: Wonderfully rich, intense strawberry jam character joined by cherry pie and red pepper jelly notions. It's bright and tangy, with good acidity bringing balance and lift. Gorgeous strawberry jam echoes in the mouth, so much so you'll wish you could spread it on toast. For an unforgettable taste sensation, pair this with waffles topped with berry preserves and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. (VINTAGES panel, July 2013) Price $ 39.95
