TASTING NOTE: Substantial and grand, this sports a veneer of wood that partially obscures the nerve and freshness of its berry flavors. Right now, it will make an impression at a special occasion dinner involving a rib roast; given two or three years in the cellar, the wood and fruit will integrate more fully.
