TASTING NOTE: The Cattin family arrived in Alsace in 1720 and have been an integral part of winemaking here ever since. In the early 20th century, Joseph Cattin, for whom the winery is now named, was a leading researcher and pioneer in the development of vine-grafting techniques that helped protect the vineyards of Alsace from the scourge of phylloxera. This wine has aromas of yellow apple, pear, mineral and white blossom. Crisp, fruity and mineral-laden, with a delightful creamy texture and a good length. (VINTAGES panel, March 2014) Price $ 17.95
