Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
ABBAZIA |
Very pale straw colour. Spicy, honeyed, fruity, spicy, sweet Muscat nose. Sweet, light bodied, quite attractive, fizzy, ripe Muscat-lychee-grapefruit flavours with a lingering, thankfully fairly crisp, unoaked finish. Has 5.5% alcohol and 125 g/L residual sugar. Better than the 2012 (*+/**) released on November 9, 2013 at $14.95. |

TASTING NOTE: A fun and lively Moscato d'Asti that presents a lifted floral tone atop the honey, melon and sweet orange notes on the nose and palate. Quite zippy, with a creamy mousse and a well-balanced sweetness. A fine example of the style and an easy wine to like. (VINTAGES panel, June 2014) |
