| Very pale straw colour. Slightly spicy, honeyed, ripe apple-melon nose. Dry, medium-light bodied, zesty, ripe, apple-melon flavours with a crisp, unoaked finish. Has 11% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar. Better than when it last appeared in Vintages (*+/**) on April 28, 2012 at $17.95. |

| 'Rustico' might be the 'entry level' wine of the Nino Franco winery, but there isn't too much that is 'entry level' about it. This is a creamy and elegant fizz that sees flavours of greengage and green apple combined with the wonderfully frothy and elegant mousse that is a Nino Franco hallmark. Ending with a slightly savoury tang on the finish, there are few 'entry level' Prosecco that you would rather drink! Score - 89. (independent-wine-review.com, July 2014) |
