SENSATION CHAMPAGNE 1997 AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Vincent Couche
Forward light yellow colour. Intense, fairly toasty, complex, baked ripe lemon nose with some mineral notes. Dry, full bodied, well structured, very slightly spicy, complex, toasty, intense, warm lemon puree flavours with a long, lingering, extremely effervescent, baked apple, mineral-tinged finish. Definitely not for everyone! Degorgement: 15 October 2014 of a total of 5,150 bottles. The recommended 2002 (***) was released on September 13, 2014 at $49.95. CSPC 403006

LCBO Note Status A Vintage Assessments Explorer's Selection!
The 1997 Sensation is an excellent opportunity to try a reasonably priced mature Champagne that is in stellar condition. TASTING NOTE: Disgorged only in 2012, this is an astonishingly fresh wine. Crisp apple skin flavors dominate with only a hint of toast to suggest age. It's a delicious, bright and fruity wine that's full and ripe on the palate. Editors' Choice.
