A Best Buy
Argentina may be synonymous with Malbec, but far from being a one-trick pony, Argentina is home to another head turning red - the velvety-textured Bonarda. It is a great blending grape, especially when paired with Cabernet or Malbec, but brilliant single varietal examples such as this one are going a long way to establishing Bonarda as a serious solo artist. TASTING NOTE: Big bramble fruit and spice aromas. Score - Gold Medal (International Wine Challenge, 2014) Price $ 16.95
