Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
POL ROGER |
Bright medium light yellow colour. Intense, very slightly spicy, fairly toasty, ripe lemon nose with melted butter notes. Dry, but not austere, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, intense, bright, ripe lemon flavours with a lingering, toasty, somewhat mature finish. A ready-to-drink “gout Anglaise” style. At peak and better than the 1999 (**+/***) released on December 6, 2008 at $82.95 - cspc 989137.

TASTING NOTE: Vivid yellow. Ripe, mineral-accented orchard fruits and buttered toast on the deeply scented nose, with a sexy floral nuance in the background. On the palate, intense pear and tangerine flavors expand and gain spiciness with air. At once rich and lively, this Champagne finishes with excellent precision and lingering mineral and floral notes.
