BEAUJOLAIS ROSÉ 2014 AC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
GEORGES DUBOEUF |
Bright light salmon pink colour. Shy, slightly spicy, ripe apple nose. Very dry, light bodied, spicy, honeyed, apple flavours with a very crisp, unoaked finish. Has 12% alcohol and only 2 g/L residual sugar. Nice package but way too pricey for what it is, especially when a bottle of regular Duboeuf Beaujolais is currently available for only $10.95. |

TASTING NOTE: Here's a fascinating pink expression of Beaujolais. Nectarine and clementine fruit on the nose are embroidered by aromas of flower garden. The palate shows good zip and zest, with fresh, clean lines, good echoes and a finish reminiscent of orange peel. Perfect for summertime. (VINTAGES panel, April 2015) |
