SMALL PARCELS FIZZ 2009 Méthode Traditionelle, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer KIM CRAWFORD
Very pale straw colour. Slightly spicy, honeyed, ripe apple puree nose with some hints of minerality and a faint touch of toast. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, very bright, ripe lemon-apple flavours with a very crisp, effervescent finish. This repeat is similar to the 2009 (**/**+) released on November 8, 2014 at $29.95. TASTING NOTE: This is a mature, complex and quite intriguing bubbly that just misses 90 points due to a touch of garlic on the nose. Otherwise, expect toasty, biscuity and nutty notes with some dried pear fruit and lemon. It's medium full bodied, quite dry and firm with a slightly chalky finish. Excellent length.
