Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
KIM CRAWFORD |
Very pale straw colour. Slightly spicy, honeyed, ripe apple puree nose with some hints of minerality and a faint touch of toast. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, very bright, ripe lemon-apple flavours with a very crisp, effervescent finish. This repeat is similar to the 2009 (**/**+) released on November 8, 2014 at $29.95. |

TASTING NOTE: This is a mature, complex and quite intriguing bubbly that just misses 90 points due to a touch of garlic on the nose. Otherwise, expect toasty, biscuity and nutty notes with some dried pear fruit and lemon. It's medium full bodied, quite dry and firm with a slightly chalky finish. Excellent length. Score - 89 (David Lawrason, winealign.com, April 30, 2014) |
