SALA VIVÉ BRUT Méthode Traditionnelle, Mexico
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Freixenet de Mexico
Forward very light yellow colour. Earthy, sour, lemon-apple nose. Sweetish, medium-light bodied, unattractive, stewed apple-lemon flavours with a caramel finish and faint effervescence. Nice label but what’s in the bottle is - for me - undrinkable. Has 11.5% alcohol and 15 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 411769

TASTING NOTE: Famed Spanish sparkling producer Freixenet established Sala Vivé in 1983, drawn by the sparkling favourable cool climate provided by the high-altitude plantings in the Querétaro region. Some tropical notes join the lemon, pear fruit and baked bread aromas. Fresh, juicy and fruit driven. A versatile, value-priced sparkler that will be an excellent choice for seafood and also serve as a delightful palate refresher between bites. (VINTAGES panel, Oct. 2014) Price $ 18.95
