RÉSERVE BRUT CRÉMANT DE BOURGOGNE Traditional method, AC, Burgundy, France |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

BAILLY LAPIERRE |
Not presented at the press and consultants preview in the LCBO lab. Here is my tasting note for the half bottle (cspc 641423): Bright medium straw colour. Attractive, fairly complex, mineral-tinged, ripe lemon nose. Very dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, ripe lemon flavours with a lingering, crisp, effervescent finish. Delicious Champagne-inspired value - quite lovely and ready-to-drink. Last appeared in Vintages (**) on November 22, 2014 at $19.95 and was an Explorer Selection. |

TASTING NOTE: Effectively a Blanc de Blancs, although not labeled as such, this is a crisp, steely, mineral wine. It has a Chablis-like cut and thrust of citrus and apple fruit flavors, bright and fruity, although with an attractive bottle age toast. Score - 91 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Nov. 1, 2013) |
