RÉSERVE BRUT CRÉMANT DE BOURGOGNE Méthode Traditionnelle, AC, Burgundy
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BAILLY LAPIERRE
Bright medium straw colour. Attractive, fairly complex, mineral-tinged, ripe lemon nose. Very dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, ripe lemon flavours with a lingering, crisp, effervescent finish. Delicious Champagne-inspired value - quite lovely and ready-to-drink. Last appeared in Vintages (not presented) on February 19, 2011 at $9.95. The 750 ml full bottle lacked sufficient effervence. CSPC 641423

TASTING NOTE: Effectively a Blanc de Blancs, although not labeled as such, this is a crisp, steely, mineral wine. It has a Chablis-like cut and thrust of citrus and apple fruit flavors, bright and fruity, although with an attractive bottle age toast.
