Extremely deep intense purple colour. Complex, intense, slightly spicy, black cherry puree nose with some cedary mocha-chocolate notes. Fairly dry, medium-full bodied, solid, extracty, spicy, intense, ripe cherry-plum puree flavours with a lingering, cedary, high acid, smoky, milk chocolate finish. TASTING NOTE: Deep garnet-purple in color and scented of cassis, crushed blackberries and star anise with hints of sautéed herbs and black earth, the 2012 Shiraz is a medium-bodied wine with plenty of earth and spice-laced black fruits supported by medium levels of grainy tannins and lively acid. It finishes long. Drink it now to 2018. Score - 90 (Lisa Perrotti-Brown, MW, erobertparker.com, May 2014) Price $ 17.95
