BLANC DE NOIRS Méthode Traditionnelle, Carneros |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
GLORIA FERRER |
Salmon pink-tinged pale straw colour. Slightly spicy, faintly honeyed, ripe plum nose. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, tangy, ripe plum-raspberry flavours with a faintly honeyed, lingering, crisp finish. This 12.5% alcohol blend of 92% Pinot Noir with 8% Chardonnay is quite similar to when it last appeared in Vintages (**+) on September 27, 2014 at $28.95. |

TASTING NOTE: Small in production and clearly defined from Carneros, this Blanc de Noirs blends 92% Pinot Noir with 8% Chardonnay to great effect. Pretty in peach color, the intense flavors are a combination of fresh-cut herb and strawberry kirsch. Score - 90 (Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 2014) |
