BRUT CRÉMANT D'ALSACE Méthode Traditionnelle, AC Alsace |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

BESTHEIM |
Pale straw colour. Rather spicy, honeyed, ripe lemon-melon nose with some fresh apple notes. Fairly dry, medium-light bodied, spicy, ripe apple-lemon-melon flavours with a lingering, crisp finish. Medium effervescence and ready-to-drink. Not quite up to when it last appeared in Vintages (**) on June 21, 2014 at $19.95 and was an Explorer Selection. |

TASTING NOTE: Bright and fresh with a good mousse. Apple tones shine clearest here and add a nice counter-point to the light bready note. The fruit is ripe and adds a pleasant sweetness to the palate. A good choice for a variety of seafood and fish dishes, try with grilled salmon or lobster for something really special.
