Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
NONINO ŁE MONOVITIGNO |
Clear and colourless. Attractive, intense, complex, buttery, sweet, gingerbread cookie nose. Fairly dry, medium bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, faintly honeyed, buttery, caramel-vanilla flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, rose petal tinged finish. |

TASTING NOTE: This is a single-grape grappa made from fragolino. Fragolino is perhaps the most bizarre yet pleasing grape I have put in my mouth and its strawberry perfume defines this delicate drink. Its sweet strawberry and cream scent billows from the bottle. I've never had grappa of such wonderment before, nor can I imagine finding its equal. The palate is exhilaratingly spicy and leaves a gorgeous note of rose petals.
