TASTING NOTE: The cepage here is 45% Xarel-lo and 30% Macabeo with splashes of Chardonnay, Parellada and Alarije. The complexity of the blend is reflected in the wine, which shows intricate notions of lemon zest, pear drop, sponge cake and orchard blossoms. There's a leesy, hayloft note that joins the juicy pear, apple and citrus fruit on the palate - which is bright and elegant from start to clean, crisp finish. (VINTAGES panel, Oct. 2015) |
