A Best Buy
TASTING NOTE: Trapiche, one of the most oft-awarded wineries in Argentina, ages this Bonarda a full 12 months in oak before release. An opaque, inky ruby colour in the glass, the wine offers delectably ripe dark cherry, plum, Black Forest cake and woodsmoke aromas. It's generously flavoured and concentrated on the palate, with ripe, velvety tannins, considerable oomph and a long finish. Pair with hearty beef stews or steak fajitas and drink it now through 2018.
