TEELING |
Clean and colourful. Rather grappa-like on the nose with spicy, honeyed, caramel, ripe pear-apple notes. Very slightly sweet, honeyed, medium bodied, intense, pungent, apple-pear puree flavours with a lingering finish. This blend of double distilled spirit made from malted barley in copper pot stills plus triple-distilled spirit made from maize in column stills has 61.5% alcohol. |

TASTING NOTE: Harking back to the traditions of Irish poitín, the Teeling Whiskey Company has bottled a high-strength spirit blend of double distilled spirit made from malted barley in copper pot stills and triple-distilled spirit made from maize in column stills. Refreshing notes of green apple, light malt and new leather. Short and zesty on the palate. (Neil Ridley, imbibe.com, May 2013) |
