TASTING NOTE: Even better than the Kila Cava is the 2010 Marques de Gelida Brut Gran Reserva, a blend of 40% Xarel-lo, 25% Macabeo, 20% Chardonnay and 15% Parellada. Aged a minimum of four years in bottle before being released, this is one of the winery's smaller cuvées at 3,000 cases. Lots of complex brioche, citrus blossom and apple butter notes are followed by a creamy, medium-bodied, reasonably dry sparkling white wine to drink over the next year.
