RESERVA MALBEC/TOURIGA NACIONAL 2013 Uco Valley, Mendoza |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
VIÑALBA |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, juicy, baked cherry-plum puree nose with some cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, very tangy, spicy, juicy, blueberry compote flavours with a lingering, cedary finish. This blend of 80% Malbec and 20% Touriga Nacional has 14.5% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar with lot number L30615 on the back label. It would seem that this batch was bottled after the tasting date and exceptionally high score appearing in the Vintages Catalogue |

This is extracted and powerful, with enough body to match a barbecue. Star Buy of 2015. Score - 95 (Patricio Tapia, decanter.com, Aug. 6, 2015) |
