TASTING NOTE: The only malt whisky distillery on Arran is one of the few remaining independent distilleries in Scotland. It opened in 1995 at Lochranza, in the north of the Island. This single malt is lightly peated to 14 ppm and is pale straw in colour with a delicate bouquet of tropical fruit with a touch of nutty coconut and peat smoke. The smokiness comes out more on the palate which is surprisingly gentle and sweet with vanilla and honey notes. Just lovely to sip neat.
