BARREL SELECTION MALBEC 2014 Patagonia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FABRE MONTMAYOU
Extremely deep intense ruby colour. Terse, mineral-tinged, somewhat herbal, dried plum nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly herbal, baked plum-apple-cherry flavours with a very crisp, fairly high acid, still youthful somewhat peppery finish. Should improve with age. This new bottling with lot number CVL24216 on the back label has 14.5% alcohol and only 2 g/L residual sugar. May not be the same batch that won the International Trophy for Red Single-Varietal over £15 at the 2015 Decanter World Wine Awards. ARGENTINA Feature (12 items). One of 33 NEW releases in Vintages.
