Very bright yellow gold colour. Fairly dry, medium bodied, harmonious, intense, complex, slightly cedary, faintly smoky, plummy, lemon meringue nose with some caramel notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, toasty, ripe lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, cedary finish. Has 46% alcohol with lot number 20016 on the lower part of the glass bottle. A repeat of the recommended August 22, 2015 release (***) with 92-points at $69.95. |

TASTING NOTE: Bright gold color. Bright, sulfurous aromas of raisin chutney, pencil shavings, creme brulee, and [a] hint of fuel with a silky, racy, fruity medium-to-full body and a peppery, interesting, relaxed caramelized papaya and mango, pepper jelly, ground nuts, and balsa finish. A brash and boisterous Irish whiskey. Highly Recommended. Score - 89 (tastings.com, June 2015) |
