RESERVE MALBEC 2014 Gualtallary, Tupungato, Uco Valley, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FINCA SOPHENIA
Very deep intense purple colour. Spicy, complex, warm ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedary, caraway notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, somewhat cedary, caraway-tinged finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number L-7026-7046 on the back label. Unfortunately, the bottle served at the consultant’s tasting had tca cork taint. You can safely ignore the 93-point tasting note from May 20, 2016 appearing in the Vintages Catalogue which was based on a previous batch. CSPC 66837
