‘SOBERANO 5’ Solera Reserva, Brandy de Jerez, with Lepanto miniature
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Gonzalez Byass
Deep yellowing amber colour. Very pleasant, honeyed, somewhat spicy, caramel cone nose with vanilla notes. Creamy, very pleasant, slightly honeyed, plummy, caramel, marzipan flavours which have excellent length. Everything is great about this brandy, which spent 5 years in American oak, except for the plastic pour top. As an added bonus, a miniature of the top-of-the-line ‘Lepanto’ is included. CSPC 903484

Gonzalez Byass’ number one brandy, ‘Soberano’ is aged in former American oak Sherry barrels. Just as with their Sherries, Gonzalez Byass uses the Solera system for their Brandy. After each bottling, new brandy is added to the barrels to ensure they are always full. This brandy’s solera system was established 150 years ago, so a few drops from the original distillation is in each bottle. As an added bonus, a miniature of their classic aged brandy ‘Lepanto’ is included. Price $ 32.95
Bottle Size 700 mL
