| Very deep intense purple colour. Fairly intense, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, high acid, gently cedary, very faintly herbal finish. TIM APPLET / 88-points / BUY - Very deep, dense purple in colour. Rich, ripe blueberry, blackberry and plum fruit on the nose, with a lift of violets and a suggestion of oak spice. Dry, with enough acidity to balance the very ripe fruit. A light savoury-herbal undertone adds interest. Good value. Wow, there are a whopping 3,192 cases available. Has 13.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number LET17081 on the back label. The 2014 (**/**+) was released on November 26, 2016 at $17.95. |

| TASTING NOTE: The first of six Malbecs I tasted was the 2015 Malbec Reserva, which is also labeled Reserve Malbec and as Barrel Selection in Europe Barrel. It is produced with grapes grown at their El Oasis and La Pampa vineyards in Valle de Uco that fermented destemmed in stainless steel vats and matured in oak barrels for 12 months. This is a very aromatic, floral and showy Malbec, very fruit-driven, where they search for freshness and use mostly neutral barrels trying to show the character of the Valle de Uco. The palate is silky, with a fine texture and sweet, round tannins, very fresh, even with a minty nose.
