Clear colour. Somewhat musty, sweetish, grappa and stewed apple nose with some nail polish notes. Very dry and peppery with tart apple-pear peel notes. Last appeared in Vintages (**) on July 26, 2003 at $19.95. The bottle sample seemed to be not up to the previous shipment. |

Enjoy this after dinner or use it in recipes that feature pear or apple. Tasting note: This eau-de vie offers something a little different, with an intense duet of apple-pear fragrance and highlights of gummy sweetness on the nose. The texture envelops and the spice engages, with the spirit finishing fiery and dry. Score – 87. (Patricia Noonan, Wine Access “First In Line E-Report”, July 26, 2003) |
