| Clear colour with flakes of gold. Intense, very sweet, spicy, herbal, Chartreuse-tinged nose. Sweet but not cloying, intense, spicy, very herbal, Chartreuse-inspired flavours, which I found quite appealing. First created in 1598, this Goldwasser or ‘Gold Water’ liqueur is made with flakes of real 22-carat gold. |

| First created in 1598, Original Danziger Goldwasser (‘Gold Water’) is made with flakes of real, edible 22-carat gold. The liqueur is made with a secret blend of fruits, spices, herbs and seeds. As with most liqueurs, Goldwasser was first produced as a treatment for disease. In the 16th century, it was believed that the gold would polish the inside of the heart. |
