RESERVE MALBEC 2015 Barrancas Vineyards, Mendoza |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
PASCUAL TOSO |
Very deep intense purple colour. Spicy, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with lots of cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, crisp, rather cedary finish. This popular Malbec has 14% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number LC18052 on the back label meaning that it was bottled on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 meaning that this isn’t the same bottling that was reviewed by James Suckling last year! TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points / BUY - Cedary, plum nose; full-bodied, dry, well-extracted, sweet black plum flavour with fresh acidity and a ripe tannin finish. |
