Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer DOMAINE BOUSQUET
Extremely deep purple colour. Slightly spicy, dusty, baked apple-plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, spicy, baked plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, somewhat cedary, mocha-chocolate finish. Has 14% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with a NEW lot number L18058 on the back label. Not up to the recommended best buy 2012 (**/**+) that was released on July 23, 2016 at $18.95. This batch was certainly not the one that James Suckling gave 91-points to as per the Vintages Catalogue. Part of the Vintages Organic Feature with 16 releases. CSPC 55244
