SAUERKIRSCH-ZIMT SOUR CHERRY CINNAMON LIQUEUR German Liqueur
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SCHLADERER
Medium deep dark cherry red colour with a touch of amber on the rim. Very spicy, sweet, cinnamon-cloves, intense, warm cherry pie nose with some some French vanilla ice cream notes. Sweet, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, very tangy, warm cherry pie flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, vanilla-tinged finish. Has 40% alcohol and 208 g/L residual sugar with lot number L3916051 on the back label. I think of Cherry Heering but with more spices and higher acidity. Made by the reputable firm of Alfred Schladerer founded in 1844 and is now run by his sixth generation family members. CSPC 570531
