Forward medium deep yellow colour. . Spicy, sweet, apple puree nose with some buttery corn on the cob notes. Very sweet, medium bodied, very smooth, spicy, honeyed, apple puree flavours with a lingering, caramel-tinged, tropical fruit cocktail finish that has some vinyl notes. This REPEAT has 10.5% alcohol and 215 g/L residual sugar. Not up to the 2015 (***) that was released on April 1, 2017 at $22.95. CSPC 485573

TASTING NOTE: Burnt Ship takes its name from an incident in 1759: During the Seven Years War, which, for those who don't know, was a global conflict essentially between Great Britain and France, French troops stationed in Canada burned several ships to prevent their falling into English hands. This Vidal Icewine delivers rich notes of honey, candied lemon, peach, pineapple, orange zest, melon and spicy ginger. Ideal for pairing with blue-veined cheeses.
