Bright light straw colour. Fairly intense, toasty, slightly spicy, ripe lemon-melon nose with some mineral notes. Very dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, tangy, mineral-tinged, ripe lemon-lime flavours with a lingering, very cedary, somewhat bitter, high-acid finish. Quite hefty and ready-to-drink. Has 22.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. The recommended best buy 2011 (**+) was released on February 7, 2015 at $18.95. CSPC 398966

TASTING NOTE: Starting as a spinoff of Niagara's iconic Tawse Winery, Redstone was named Canada's Winery of the Year for 2017 at the WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada. Aged 12 months in French oak, this wonderfully balanced Chardonnay shows floral, apple, pear, creamy vanilla and butterscotch notes in interplay. Pair with pork chops and Mexican street corn.
