TERROIR LOS MIRADORES MALBEC 2014 Uco Valley, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LUIGI BOSCA
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, somewhat baked, ripe plum nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, faintly bitter, fairly intense, spicy, intense, baked plum flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high-acid finish. Tasted twice and unfortunately, the first bottle assessed seemed to be off with some resiny, bitter, cooked notes. This 100% Malbec has 14% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar. Not showing all that well and, to my taste, the future may well be dubious. CSPC 568899

TASTING NOTE: There is a new Malbec from Villa Seca in the Tunuyán district of Valle de Uco, the 2014 Malbec Terroir Los Miradores, partially aged in French oak barrels for one year. It's perfumed and a little heady, with flowers and spices, plus ripe plums, with something earthy. The palate is lush, with glossy tannins and a very tasty finish. 12,117 bottles were filled in September 2015. Drink Date: 2016-2019.
