| Clear and colourless. Delicious, intense, harmonious, pure, ripe pear purée nose. Dry medium bodied, well structured, harmonious, very faintly honeyed, elegant, ripe, pure Williams pear purée flavours with a long, lingering, perfectly balanced, bright finish. Wow, this really is a must buy for anyone with hints of loves pear eau de vie. Of the 18 released and 14 reviewed in Vintages over the past 18-years, this is the best I have tasted. Has 40% alcohol and with lot number L5717022 on the back label. Last appeared in Vintages on August 11, 2001 at $29.80 but was not presented for evaluation (#107987). It has taken 17 years to return. With only 69 cases of 6, hopefully I will not have to wait another 17 years for its return. |
