PIZZELLA MALBEC 2016 Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LA POSTA
The 2017 that appears in the Vintages Catalogue was not presented at the press and/or consultants previews in the LCBO lab. Here is my note on the new bottling of 2016 with a new lot number L18047 on the lower part of the glass bottle that was in the lab. Very intense deep purple colour. Gently spicy, faintly herbal, baked, plum-cherry nose with some cedary, tea-tinged notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, spicy, tangy, slightly baked, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, very faintly bitter, high acid finish. This REPEAT has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. The 2016 (**) was last released on December 9, 2017 at $15.95. CSPC 166298
