SINGLE MALT IRISH WHISKEY Unchillfiltered, finished in Cognac casks |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
LAMBAY) |
Bright medium yellow to light gold in colour, Intense, attractive, rather spicy, bright, cereal-tinged, faintly honeyed, Weetabix nose with some plummy, buttery-caramel notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, harmonious, spicy, ripe plum flavours with an attractive, honeyed, caramel note on the long lingering finish. This smooth flavourful, unpeated, triple distilled Irish whiskey from Lambat Island was finished in selected French Oak Cognac casks from Camu and has 40% alcohol. A perfect sipper served neat and not too cold. |
