CHÂTEAU DE RIBEBON 2015 AC Bordeaux Supérieur
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer
This is one of 64 items (128 releases) not presented for evaluation under new LCBO policies. A REPEAT of the recommended 2015 (**+) was released on March 3, 2018 at $17.00. Here is my previous note and hopefully this shipment will be just as good: Deep intense purple colour. Attractive, slightly spicy, intense, warm ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some faint mocha-chocolate notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, gently cedary finish. This delicious, ready-to-drink, bargain-priced blend of 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L115 on the front label. Congratulations to owners Alain and Bernadette Aubert and their daughter Amelie the winemaker for making this classic which was fermented in stainless steel and then aged for 18 months in barrique. Note that the vines are on average 60-years-old. CSPC 546119
