Light yellow gold colour. Sweet, honeyed, spicy, Seville orange marmalade nose with some tropical caramel notes. Very sweet, medium bodied, rich, smooth, spicy, honeyed, apple-pear-tinged,Seville orange marmalade flavours with a lingering, caramel-tinged finish. Has 10% alcohol and 200 g/L residual sugar. This tasty 2017 is now a Vintages Essential and comes in a gift box. The 2016 last appeared in Vintages (***) with 93-points on December 9, 2017 at $26.95 and was Recommended. This Vintages Essential is featured in the LCBO’s February “RED CARPET WINES” promotion which features TEN of Tony Aspler 2019 Ontario Wine Award Winners. It placed second in the competition with a SILVER medal. It also was just awarded 92-points in Bruce Sanderson’s “After the Gold Rush” feature on Canadian wines (where more than 100 wines were reviewed with 15 scoring 90-points or higher) in the current January 31 issue of the Wine Spectator.
