Ardmore, as a Single Malt, is relatively rare because most of the production is used in the creation of the legendary blended scotch, Teacher’s. In fact, Teacher’s founded Ardmore a bit more than a century ago. As they do not bottle much as a single malt, it is up to industrious independent bottlers, such as Signatory, to get the Single Malt version to the market. Michael Jackson has described the Ardmore house style as “malty, creamy, robust. [An] after dinner [malt]”. |
