‘TAMNAVULIN’ Speyside Single Malt 12-Year-Old with Gift Tube |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
Tamnavulin Distillery |
Medium yellow-gold colour. Fairly intense, slightly peppery, gently cedary, spicy plum nose. Quite elegant, bright, quite attractive, accessible, honeyed dusty prune flavours. Quite interesting with a bright finish. Last appeared in Vintages on November 2, 2002 at $49.90 but was not presented for evaluation. |

Tasting note: Here’s a twelve year old with loads of personality. At first, the palest gold appearance, and then the nose befriends you with peat, cereal, citrus and then the not unpleasant medicinal smell of nettle tonic. Engagingly light, very smooth and everything harmonizes into a persistent finish …Score – 91. (Patricia Noonan, Wine Access, “First In Line E-Report”, Jan. 2002) |
