SIGNATURE SERIES CLASSIC ICE CUVÉE SPARKLING Icewine dosage, traditional method, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer PELLER ESTATES
Unable to get a bottle for assessment from the agent. A REPEAT that last appeared in Vintages (**+) on September 28, 2019 at $34.95 and was an Explorer Selection. Here is my previous note: Bright medium straw colour. Gently sweet, intense, spicy, honeyed, ripe melon-apricot-yellow plum purée nose. Sweet, medium-light bodied, spicy, honeyed, fairly bright yellow Muscat flavours with a lingering, gently effervescent finish. Has 12% alcohol and now 20 g/L residual sugar with lot number 8142 on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 284547

TASTING NOTE: An expressive and vibrant incarnation of this cuvée. Richly layered and weighty due to added sweetness, however nicely balanced with a fine zest. Peaches and cream, strawberry and yeasty bread make up the palate of this mouthfilling wine. A charming style that has been well executed.
