CASA BOHER EXTRA BRUT Traditional method, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CASA BOHER
Argentine sparklers can vary from off-dry, fizzy, fruit bombs to dry, attractive, crowd-pleasers - all usually at reasonable prices. This blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir has a bright light salmon colour with a steady stream of reasonably small bubbles. The nose is attractive enough albeit totally non-Champagne in stye with some plummy-ripe-apple fruit, and hints of roses along with a touch of minerality. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, bright, fruity, plummy-melon flavours with a fairly crisp, pleasing finish. A crowd-pleaser that you can drink it anytime. It has 12.9% alcohol with 12 g/L residual sugar and 10.5 g/L total acidity. NEW in Vintages. CSPC 18562

Toasty, focused and dry with lovely weight and hints of umami and dried mushroom. Classy fizz. Drink date: 2017-21. Score - 93 (timatkin.com, Argentina Special Report 2017) Price $ 19.95
