TASTING NOTE: The selection for this Finca la Escuela comes from lime-coated gravel soils that give this wine tense, firm structure. The soil that's immediately above that gravel is a combination of sand, silt, and stone, so it's not very warm, which means the clusters do not receive as much sun and can yield fresher, redder fruit. The structure from the lime and freshness from the soil make this wine the nerviest, freshest wine in the Finca La Escuela series. Score - 95 (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2020) |
