HISTORIC RED BLEND 2018 Tupungato, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer D.V. CATENA
There is no question that this 2018 is a tad better than the previous recommended 2017 that was released on December 7, 2019 at $19.95. It has a very deep intense purple colour and a gently juicy, spicy, ripe plum-black cherry puree nose with some sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, well balanced, spicy, juicy, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, high acid, gently cedary, mocha-chocolate-tinged finish. This blend of 72% Malbec, 21% Bonarda and 7% Petit Verdot. has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L21055 on the back label. CSPC 555466
